Additional first printings to be made available soon

New York City, October 25, 2007 – Teshkeel Comics announced today that the premiere issue of its first superhero series, THE 99, has sold out of its initial inventory at Diamond, and additional first printings will be available soon to fulfill consumer demand.

"I think this is a good sign for THE 99, but an even better sign that we can produce an 'all-ages' book in this marketplace again that really means ALL ages," said writer Fabian Nicieza. "Kids and parents can appreciate the message of THE 99 -- these are characters and stories about people from diverse backgrounds coming together with a common, positive goal. Good to see that that message still has traction with comic book readers."

The sellout of THE 99 #1 comes one week after the issue’s arrival in comic shops nationwide. “We’re all thrilled here at Teshkeel over the success of the launch. The quick sellout of THE 99 #1 and subsequent reorders certainly attest to how our pre-launch marketing initiatives fell into place, and more major media coverage is on its way,” said publisher Sven Larsen. “This is an exciting time for Teshkeel and the industry as a whole, and we thank the fans and the sites that have spread the word!”
